20 Positive Affirmations for Introverts

Updated: Aug 30, 2021

I'm sure you've heard of daily affirmations. They are mantras that you repeat daily, and they help you relax, get rid of certain unwanted emotions, or even manifest what you want in life.

When you affirm something, you are bringing that thought into the world. Affirmations can help you take action, they help you be present, and they can help you clear your mind.

I'll be honest with you...I am just starting my affirmation journey because I honestly didn't believe that it's helpful. But recently, I started using affirmations to help me get through episodes of anxiety. Therefore, I now realize the value of this practice. I get the hype around affirmations, and I plan on incorporating them into my daily life.

Have you heard of mindful affirmation cards? These will give you prompts, affirmations, and guidance on how to practice affirmation every day. They help you relax, aid your self-calming process, and inspire you to keep going.

Is there such a thing as affirmations for introverts?

Sure, introverts face a certain set of unique challenges, but they also share the burdens and challenges of living in today's crazy world. My goal is to share the 20 affirmations relevant for ME and hopefully many other fellow introverts.

There are even books with mantras for introverts if you're interested in committing to the affirmation lifestyle.

These affirmations will help your brain work through issues like insecurity, anxiety, fear, stress, and tense moments.

In my experience, I feel frustrated a lot of the time because people treat me in a certain way, always demanding I 'talk more' or 'go out more.' But I am actually happy being the way that I am, and now I ignore them. But a good pep talk from myself to myself always helps, and that's where the affirmations come in handy!

Why do affirmations work?

Affirmations are positive affirmations that help you overcome self-sabotage and negative thoughts.

Affirmations might be considered unrealistic or wishful thinking by some people but that's really not the case.

Try looking at affirmations in this light: Many of us do repetitive exercises to improve physical health. Positive affirmations can reprogram our thinking patterns to allow us to think and act differently over time. Think of affirmations as a form of mental exercise.

Sometimes your brain can get confused between reality and imagination. This can be quite useful.

The brain activates many of these same areas when you create a mental image of yourself performing something, such as conquering a fear or facing nerve-wracking tasks.

Repeating affirmations about yourself regularly can help your brain accept these affirmations as facts. Your actions will often follow if you believe that you can accomplish something.
