If you ask me what my favorite part about autumn is I'll say the colorful leaves and fall fashion. I love wearing boots and layers and putting together outfits is always a fun way to re-organize my closet and buy exciting new pieces.
If you're not in the mood to splurge but want to refresh your closet, I recommend SHEIN because they're always up to date with the latest trends and outfit ideas. Plus, the clothes are very affordable and though it's hit or miss sometimes, I've ordered lots of stuff and most of it is really nice and wearable.

Trend alert: wide leg & colorful trousers
I've been seeing all kinds of colorful & neutral wide leg trousers. I would opt for a pair of high-waisted black pants that you can style with most tops and items in your wardrobe.
Then, to spice things up and bring in some of the trendy y2k and 90s colors, I would also grab them in a solid bright color. Check out these two ideas below:
Fall Florals
There's something special about autumn florals. They're usually on a dark background and have those gorgeous yellow, orange, and brick red tones.
A dark navy top with ruffled sleeves and neutral florals is the perfect top for the office, a dinner date, or an autumn day out.
It goes well with a pair of high-waisted jeans, casual trousers, or cigarette pants and a pair of ankle boots.
A long maxi dress with muted florals is the best outfit that requires no effort on your part. Paired with mules, sandals, or boots, it's the perfect transitional piece for your wardrobe.
This is short-sleeve cardigan gives me serious boho and rustic vibes. It's a really fun way to add something trendy to a classic wardrobe. You can dress it up with a white shirt and boots or keep it casual with a tee and jeans.
Knitwear
A casual sweater in a neutral color is a fall fashion must-have. But this one has two side splits which gives it an interesting design detail.
It's also a bit oversized so it suits all body shapes and it's super cozy to wear.
When I think of fall colors, I think of these gorgeous terracotta oranges, yellow, and brown shades. This is one of those really soft plushy materials that just gives off cozy vibes.
This is already in my basket and I can't wait to feel all warm and snuggly under my autumn coat.
Whether you're going back to school or back to the office, this is an easy sweater vest and top combo you can just throw on with jeans, trousers, or a skirt. Paired with knee-high boots, it looks very smart and dressed-up.
Hoodie
My go-to outfit for grocery shopping is a simple hoodie. I throw it over a t-shirt and pair it with jeans or casual pants and my favorite sneakers.
This look is all about comfort and simplicity.
Coats
Why go for a boring lightweight coat when you can get this beaded raw hem one for a bargain?
It's a transitional light jacket, perfect for those chilly evenings before winter settles in.
It's a fun way to make a simple jacket more elegant and it will elevate your whole outfit.
It takes some getting used to but once you get a teddy coat, you'll love the comfort it provides.
This burnt orange color is the perfect way to spice up your outfit with a pop of color. It works with both casual and elegant outfits and it keeps you warm when the temperature drops.
Boots
This year's footwear trend is chunky combat boots.
You either love them or hate them but the high platform heels are pretty cool. I like a simple black color because it pairs well with any outfit.
I recommend wearing them with casual sweatpants, jeans, or baggy clothing if you want to take part in this trend.
